Many cable railways and chair lifts also operate in summer and can take you quickly and comfortably into the middle of Wilder Kaiser's enchanting world of mountains.
In summer and autumn the Kitzbühler Alps invite you to go hiking. About 700 km of signposted walks will take you through a varied world of mountains in which passionate mountaineers, active Nordic walkers and also walkers who take it easy will all enjoy themselves.
“Active in the Mountains” with the Adventure Hiking Pass
The lifts and cable-cars of the Wilder Kaiser -- Brixental region open up endless possibilities for an active mountain holiday in the great outdoors.
With over 700 kilometres of well-marked, hiking paths affording views across to seventy 3,000 metre peaks, the possibilities are simply endless. The circular walking paths and high altitude hiking trails are particularly breathtaking and are easy to reach using the cable cars and lifts. A tip: those who want to go easy on their joints should make the ascent on foot, and then “spare their knees” by gently soaring back down to the valley using the lift or cable car.
